Family in France.

On Saturday, my mom, sister, and aunt arrived in France. They are going to be here with me until next Sunday. We're trying to fit in as many sights as we can within the few days that they are here, and this is some of the stuff that we've done so far.

Yesterday, we spent quite a few hours walking around the Louvre. Here's (the back of) Holly, checking out some ancient Greek statues.

It was just a little bit busy yesterday, what with it being the holidays and all.

We got to see a lot of the museum's 'greatest hits', so to speak.

Venus de Milo

Winged Victory of Samothrace
The lady everyone wants to see, the Mona Lisa.

I'll try to get some more pictures up tomorrow of the things we did today, but I'm already starting to think I'm always going to be a day behind.

It's finally here!

This is what I saw when I opened my blinds this morning.

I'm very pleased. I've been waiting for snow for months, and it's finally here!

Long time, no post: January in a nutshell.

Apologies for my silence over the past month. My lack of posting has to do with my forgetfulness. As I constantly forgot my camera anytime I did anything remotely interesting in the month of January, I haven't had anything to post. But, as my friends Mary and Shande have been gracious enough to allow me to post some of their photos, I'm now able to show a bit of what I've done since returning to France after Christmas.

During one of the first weekends back, my friends and I converged on Saint-Germain-en-Laye, where one of them lives, to go out to a karaoke bar. It was fun, but the DJ didn't call on our table too much, so I only got up to sing once, with Shande's friend Jasmine. As proof, here are two photos of me and her belting out the Queen classic, 'Bohemian Rhapsody' (note the fact that I was repping the Jets; guess which one of us is Canadian, haha).

Last weekend, I met up with some friends at the Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris to have a picnic. It wasn't the greatest day for it (it was raining when we arrived, not to mention the frigid temperatures), but we braved to elements to eat in the fresh air... before we were kicked out of the gazebo by a kung-fu school (true story).

Me, Mary, and Shande playing peek-a-boo behind some trees.

Other than that, I haven't really done all that much. For the most part, I just been working my usual hours and finally getting some shopping done. Next time I do anything of note though, I must remember my camera.
